Just to forestall any critique: We need this check wether people like  
hardcoded references to specifiec packages in Scripts or not (I know that  
there are those that do). I'll gladly remove it the day that Dependencies  
handle mandatory dependencies, or any other function is introduced that  
can hande this check instead. Until then I cannot allow more user's system  
to break.
