I sent a couple of patches a long time ago, and I'm OK with GPL2/2+.

If I had to choose a license, I'd go with ISC (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISC_license). IMHO, licensing became pretty counter-productive nowadays, in such a way that people might spend more time dealing with licensing issues than coding. Again, IMHO.
