So I ChrootCompile Linux 2.6.24.4-r1. Something weird happened. In
Unmanaged/S/K/Modules/2.6.24.4-Gobo there aren't any modules.* files.
It also seems like depmod -a wasn't run. I compared previous ver/revs
and I can't find anything to explain it.
This is actually a good thing. I realized there is a problem with our
handling of external modules. Basically since we're not running
depmod -a, they're not being found.
I created a work around adding a depmod -a in StartLiveCD and ProfileInstall.
Unfortunately, the kernel I created (without modules.*) isn't suitable
to put in official and livecd. If someone (Lucas??) could build a
kernel (and madwifi, ndiswrapper modules), I need to sleep soon.
Also, the font is corrupted. The GoboLinux in the boot theme looks horrible.
If we can't get this straightened out, I recommend we use the kernel
in 014. BTW, I'm ChrootCompile works fine on my macbook.
Anyways. its 8:30am, i'm passing out , I'm u/l the iso to
http://www.calica.com/gobolinux/iso/ mainly so you can see the font
issue. You need to install it, it doesn't show just booting the CD.
