Sorry. Forgot to check what dependencies that was pulled in and since I
have (almost) an entire Gnome installation I guess one should expect
something like that. I don't think it's necessary and I'll look into it.

I still use old (2.3.2) glibc as well. Since GoboLinux 012 still uses that
I see that as requirement than as a problem.
I don't think there's an easy transaction on GoboLinux. Maybe one should
create a script that pulls down some static packages and recompile the
tool chain with together with the requested glibc?
