But that's 2.4-era anyway, things should have improved now.
From the "whole distribution" point of view, adding software suspend is
not so easy (as in "care for space").
For example, some modules need to be unload (and for such, must be
compiled as modules), some services need to be stopped, X stops working,
etc. Also, the size of the swap partition is somewhat counter-intuitive:
the more RAM you have, the more swap you need.
IMHO, it is still to immature to be used. (I just checked "suspend2",
but similar problems arise on swsusp).
I'm one of those who want this to work, and GoboLinux did support it, on
version 004 or 005, as I worked with it with Lucas.
