I only use OOo, in my old computer it was too slow but I only used it
also for compatibility (.doc) and cuz of I am used to its
functionalities as I believe most users are (and I am not willing to try
other applications cuz I know OOo works fine already and I dont try new
stuff unless I have time ^^) but...
As the main point against keeping it on gobo distro, as I believe, most
users download and burn their gobo.iso cd image thats about 600MB, OOo
is about 100MB so who can download 600MB surely can download 100MB
As a good point in favor of OOo is that OOo is famous and keeping it at
gobo helps gobo to become more famous, and we all want it ^^;
I remember a long time ago I would only download a distro to try it if
it came with StarOffice lol XD;
I didnt download gobo based on OOo, but I believe that "some/many?" ppl
wont try gobo if it doesnt come with OOo...
As a remaining question, is there real need for extra 100MB available at
gobo distro?
may be many ppl would add a huge lot of small packages that could fit
that "available" space,
but which would be those packages? the criteria? only a poll could help
to figure it out? this sounds trouble ^^
remember also that downloading a big 100MB package to OOo is boring or
even annoying and download 10MB as the total of many specific small
packages u prefer is much faster...
Me:
despite I only use OOo,
I dont care that OOo come at 013 distro cuz I keep OOo updated
regularly, I mean I download every new 100MB release...
But in favor of the gobo distro I vote for OOo to come within it!
:)
