Unless something has changed, the binaries provided by mozilla
are not free software, containing parts that are not under
the GPL, LGPL or MPL but under licences like "do not modify".
It is necessary to compile it, but last time I tried, it was
quite fiddly to build a free software firefox-based browser.
I would guess that OpenOffice.org's recipe might be a binary download.
