mmm.. ok I will give it a try then!

I have just downloaded linux--2.6.16.20 (kernel), configured it to 
athlon64 (as the default was pentium II),
tho I am still having problems with its proper compilation concerning 
SATA drive :/,
I will get back here to report, as soon I can overcome the 1st steps ^^
