but that file (/proc/config.gz) isnt configured to SCSI afaik... as it
refers to default kernel kernel-2.6.11.9-Gobo w/o SCSI support (I
couldnt boot with it, only with the SCSI one)

if I am right, each time you compile the kernel using "Compile linux"
you can generate only one kernel file at /System/Kernel/Boot

based on that, I can guess that /proc/config.gz refers to the default
one that is kernel-2.6.11.9-Gobo right?

so this means that these others should have different config files, that
differ from /proc/config.gz
kernel-2.6.11.9-Gobo-SCSI
kernel-2.6.11.9-Gobo-SMP
kernel-2.6.11.9-Gobo-SMP-SCSI

I miss just the SCSI points that I should setup "=y" to have a config
file mathing this kernel kernel-2.6.11.9-Gobo-SCSI

but the problem is bigger, I want to see these differences (from normal
to SCSI config files) so I can guess what I must do at kernel 2.6.16.20
to create a equivalent SATA bootable SCSI kernel
