[gobolinux-users] Python and *.pth files

I've installed a few python packages (wxpython and numeric) and they
install a *.pth file in lib/python2.4/site_packages.   They then get
symlinked into /S/L/L.  It seems python doesn't search
/S/L/L/python2.[34]/site_packages for *.pth files. yes I do have
gobo.pth and python finds .py[c] just fine.  Moving the *.pth into
/P/Python/Current/.../ allows the modules to work fine.  Any ideas?
