Very true. We even handle bundled libraries very well too. Include
them with the package. If they're already installed, they won't be
symlinked. If they are used and later need to be updated (security
vul, whatever), just install the update and overwrite the symlinks.
And managing symlinks is more obvious than doing $LD_LIBRARY_PATH
tricks. Yeah disk is wasted but its cheap nowadays.
