I think you're going to need more than that to get a proper system
from the Gobo ISOs, but it is entirely possible to get a working Linux
system into 256mb (look at DSL). You might be able to steal bits from
them, and you can strip down the executables and fit a bit more in.
I've been working on this myself lately, albeit on a 512MB drive, for
a project I have on hand. I think you'd be better building a system up
from quasi-scratch rather that trying to do it off the ISO directly.
