[gobolinux-users] Gobolinux 013 rc3, some opinions

Hi,


* Booted Gobolinux 013rc3 and installed it. 
  Some suggestions, opinions,experiences, use this info how 
  you want :)


- Installation was EXTREMELY easy and straightforward. 
  No glitches found. Only suggestion: maybe a reboot 
  button, after install was successful. But this is 
  probably not so important. 
- Very nice GRUB menu. Would be nice to have a default 
  selection done after i.e. 120 seconds or similar, 
  so you dont have to press enter manually to boot up
  Gobolinux (arent we all lazy...).
- At KDE login (after installation+reboot), it does 
  not allow you to login as "root". I personally
  dont like this (one reason is, Gobolinux resides
  on a machine without internet connection, and I dont 
  like to be tutored by KDE about what i have to do. 
  I totally understand the new users prospect though).
  Anyways, No biggie to change it. And SuperUsers 
  powers can be given to new users in Gobolinux easily 
  as well, so again - no biggie.  
- Also, would be cool to have a Gobolinux Image instead 
  of the default KDE one. :> 
- artsmessage pops up with an error (at least upon first 
  bootup), not sure if this is known. Anyway, sound works
  out of the box.
- GoboLinux Manager KICKS ASS. From 012, and to my untrained
  eyes, it seemed to have improved a lot.
  I'd suggest to give it its own default entry in the KDE 
  Menu, i.e. right above "Command Center".
