Michael,
Thanks I will try this once I have got my installation stable again!
I have in fact now reinstalled and am, sending this from Thunderbird on
Gobolinux!
So far I have installed the updated packages for Scripts, Compile and
Manager and Manager and will shortly try to update the kernel although I
note from a later message there may be a problem with this package?
Incidently for info I already dual boot this system between Windows XP
and PCLinuxOS and didnt want a third choice so I am running this in the
Virtualbox emulator under XP!
It seems to run at native speed and everything works OK, although I have
not yet tried any usb devices and other extras!
Running the Live CD and installing works fine except that as was noted
for VMWare X11 detection hangs so it is necessary to pres Esc during
boot! Once gobo is installed to the virtual hardrive everything works fine!
