This is maybe true for new programs that you add later, but all desktop programs
installed from the live cd should by default be available in the menus, even if
later individuals change the menus to suit their own preferences as I do myself!

On a new system one is apt just to look in the menus and not go searching the
Programs folder! I didnt see Openoffice under Office or Thunderbird under
Internet so I tried to add them using InstallPackage only to find that they were
there, but not reachable from the launcher!
