They should differ. Maybe your old kernel image got overwritten by the
wrong 'ln' command..
Anyways, please ensure that you're running the correct kernel. Check
'uname -r' output before trying to do anything else.
Also, please check 'lsmod' output. Does it list some modules, or is it
completely empty? Just in case it's empty, you can check if you have a
directory named /System/Kernel/Modules/2.6.20.4-Gobo, with some stuff
inside. If you have it, try to run 'depmod -ae', and then reboot
again; that might fix the udev problems.
If you have not, you probably forgot to accept the installation of
"unmanaged files" for the Linux kernel. Just run 'SymlinkProgram
Linux' and say 'y' to that question, if that's the case.
Then reboot and see if things are working better. On the '@'
characters: that's really strange. I'll take a look on it, but that's
definitely not a big problem. You can safely ignore it for now.
