It does add them to the queue and force them. It's a queue, though,
and the ordering is pretty arbitrary. For minor updates, it's fine -
iff compatibility is maintained right through and the order genuinely
doesn't matter, or the updates don't have any relation to each other.
It could certainly be clearer all-round, yes. It does exactly what it
says, but people do tend to expect that it means more than that.
Looking just like Synaptic doesn't help matters either.
Post-014 I will look into adding that functionality myself by calling
out to Freshen, if somebody more familiar with the existing code
doesn't get in there first (I'd have to brush up on my Python and PyQT
too). We are in feature freeze until release, so it won't be until
after then.
Something along the lines of a "not to be used for major system
updates" message on entry would be good in the interim; that's not
really a feature, so it could go in for the 014 release (yes? Lucas?
Somebody?). It would save a lot of troubles, especially when new
people turn up after it comes out. We can't have people's systems keep
getting broken like this.
