Nvidia is supported afaik. You just have to use XGL and the proprietary
nvidia driver. Unfortunatly I have neither so I can't test, but in short:
1) install the proprietary nvidia driver
2) compile xorg-server with xgl by issuing 'Compile xorg-server 1.2.0
--app-name=Xorg --version-number=7.2 --keep
--configure-options="--enable-xgl --enable-xglx"
(Perhaps we should add this to the xorg-server recipe? Lucas?)
3) configure xorg to use xgl by editing /System/Settings/X11/xorg.conf.
Comment out the dri and glcore modules and add glx module:

# Load "GLcore"
# Load "dri"
           Load "glx"

4) Edit kdmrc (if that's your login greeter) to start Xgl. Change the
ServerCommand and ServerTimeout in /System/Links/Shared/config/kdm/kdmrc
to the following:

ServerCmd=/usr/bin/Xgl -br -ac -accel glx:pbuffer -accel xv
ServerTimeout=30

Then you should have xgl up and running by next reboot. :)

As I haven't done this procedure myself (I use the open driver for ATI
with Aiglx) I can't guarantee that it works, but you're welcome to try. I
must add that I don't know wether xegl module is needed (another option to
xorg-server) or if Glitz is needed. Afaik xegl, not xglx, needs glitz, and
as we are using xglx, not xegl, this shouldn't be an issue.
You can probably find more information about this by searching, as there
are many that has tried to install this before. If someone has got xgl to
work on GoboLinux, please post how you did it.
