This just seems to be semantics! When you use Compile you need a recipe
which I thought fixes the package so it will Compile under gobo?? If the
package has a problem that the recipe doesnt fix then who is at fault?

Didnt pick up on this comment on my last reply, but I was replying to
Michael Horner who knew what I was trying to do

Not as yet, As I said I was in a conversation with Michael Horner and
was waiting for his suggestion! It is possible, but I think unlikely
that there will be a difference as Freshen just calls Compile, but if
Michael thinks it worthwhile I can try that!

But I havnt blamed any tool!! I asked a question of the author of the
tool I was using and you seemed to take it personally!!

This what I am trying to do for Michael!

For info I have just now invoked Compile GTK+ and it has passed the
configure stage and is compiling! Nothing was changed on the system
between my last Freshen run and the Compile except a couple of reboots!

There maybe a problem with the way Freshen invokes Compile or the
cleanup from the the previous run of Freshen maybe adjusted something
that should have been done before Compile was invoked (Michael?)! Having
said that I think I did do a Freshen GTK+ on its own after the compile
failure and hit the same problem?

Compile has just failed problem now is:

Maybe I am missing another dependancy??

Think I have found another problem in Freshen, but I will start a new thread
