[gobolinux-users] Success Firefox 2.0.0.2 now running

Hi,

Everything has now compiled OK including GTK+ and I was able to Symlink 
Firefox 2 and it is now up and running!

Michael, I carried out the last few steps including the compile of GTK+ 
with a Freshen -U Firefox and all went without a hitch!

As I said before I had performed an InstallPackage on Firefox 2, but it 
was not symlinked in, but still there in /Programs/Firefox

Freshen did not include Firefox itself in the update because of this 
although it installed the prerequisites for that package!

I dont know if you would consider it a bug, but it might at least be 
nice to ask the user if they want to Symlink to complete the update, 
after all I did type Freshen -U Firefox so it would be reasonable to 
assume that I wanted to do that!

Thanks to everyone who helped me sort out my problems over the last few 
days and apologies to those I rubbed up the wrong way with my attitude!

My problems with the virtual disk in VirtualBox were down to my 
stupidity also! I told VirtualBox to create a 5GB virtual disk on a 
Fat32 partition which has a maximum filesize of 4GB! Mind you in my 
defence it went ahead and did that without a warning and only complained 
when it got a physical write error! Converting the partiton to NTFS 
solved that problem!

Back now to sorting out my Udev and the startup/shutdown problems that I 
have had since switching to the 2.6.20.4 kernel
