I have to agree, I guess(
It's just that I already thought of full rebranding campaign and got a bit
digressed. In case of wallpaper contest it is certainly not an option.
Still, some stir up in the news would be helpful, taking into account
current scale of the distro.

How about having it this way: people vote on everything, but developers
decide the final prize stand among those 3-5, who have the highest rating?
(I just hope that there will be enough pieces to choose from:))

Thanks man!)) No, really - what's wrong with not having it written in
GoboWiki? It doesn't spoil anything - on the contrary, now that you have
cleared it up everyone can appreciate the humor. I do, btw!)) It is a nice
story, and a good backround for the distro.
What remains of my concern is how we improve on that basis and move forward
to world domination))). If we are to achieve success and popularity - we
need constant flow of supporters.
Perhaps I'm still jealous of Ubuntu brand - it's not that interesting, but
they've managed to reach the top. It is a shame, that Gobo, with it's
awesome innovation and simplicity at the same time is still dragging behind.
We need to change that! And style improvement is one of the necessary steps
in this direction.
Btw, if you don't look forward to changing current brand, how about
spreading it's mythology on a larger scale? Will you consider reviving your
web comics stripe? I think it might be a nice touch (if you have the time,
ability and desire of course).
And the last thing - it's it not that critical, but it might be helpful to
somehow connect the Gobo story to distro's inner workings philosophy -
rethought FS tree, simplicity, compile driven design etc. To make it more
integral to your current work. And some motto in this regard would be nice -
remember Ubuntu? ("Linux for human beings").
