I havnt tried this, but can do! I have been busy for a few days and have
been unable to spend any time on GoboLinux so have not yet progressed any
further with checks on what may or may not be happening!

I am going to switch the boot theme to one that shows more messages to help
track the problems, but in doing this initially I screwed my BootOptions
file as reported in another thread and I have just not had time to fix it!

The symptom on shut down is that I do not get the graphical close down, the
screen flashes into a non displaying graphics mode and then into the text
console which just display the version of GoboLinux and a message saying
power down, BUT no ACPI power down is done so the system sits there with
this display until I switch it off!

Maybe early next week I will have some time to play! Will let you know what
transpires!
