StartTask seems to be case-sensitive, unlike many of the Gobo scripts.
Try it again with proper capitalization (MySQL). You can always check
under /System/Links/Tasks to verify which tasks are available and what
the capitalization is.

Just create the directory. You may want to SymlinkProgram afterwards.
This seems to be a problem with programs that need their Variable
directory, but don't put anything in it by default. I ran into
something similar with FindUtils the first time I ran updatedb.
