This makes me curious... where were you dragging the program *from*?
The Programs folder has to be in kind of a specific layout, as you
noticed with WindowLab.

If you want to install a program, you're best off either using the
command-line scripts (Compile, InstallPackage and friends) or using
the graphical tool Manager if you really prefer a GUI.

For programs which aren't in any Gobolinux repository as a recipe or
package it's still often easier to MakeRecipe and Compile it rather
than manually put some precompiled binaries or manually compiled
sources into the /Programs tree yourself. You certainly *can* do that,
with the filesystem-as-package-manager philosophy, but the Scripts
just make the same task easier on you in most cases.
