Yes and no. Most of the development in Beryl was done with plugins. If I have
understood it correctly the merge was done so that the Compiz X server was kept,
but the Beryl plugin API was merged into the Compiz code base. So basically
Compiz fusion consists of the Compiz X server and Beryl plugins. Both projects
window managers are available, I think.
I did make a recipe for Compiz the other day, but I had to make a patch for it
to recognize the DBus-Qt bindings. Besides from that it compiled fine. I just
didn't have the time to make recipes for all the modules, so I didn't commit it
(just the Compiz server isn't that much of use). I'll probably look into it more
during the weekend, or next weekend. I've attached recipe I made, if you want to
take a look at it before that.
