The original distro doesn't have gcc so Rootless is out.  It is
possible to install but the keyboard is too small for much hacking.
There is no ssh server in the default repos.  Some have added debian
repos but at that point I'd rather just use gobo.

Keeping the original kernel is probably best, until madwifi supports the chip.
