That's only a fallback. If it didn't find a value for
$CURRENT_SCRIPT_VERSION, 'version' defaults to 2.4.2. It never should
use the fallback, though. That's only useful when playing with cvs
snapshots, where CURRENT_SCRIPT_VERSION might be empty.
