[gobolinux-users] KMail without authorization, why?

Based on a Google search, it looks like OpenSSL and possibly the Cyrus
SASL library (http://asg.web.cmu.edu/sasl/sasl-library.html) are
required to authenticate with passworded mail servers. They should be
autodetected when compiling KDE-Base if you have them installed. If
you want to try that, you could install both and recompile KDE-Base.

There are recipes for both OpenSSL and Cyrus-Sasl in the official Recipe store.
