I cant answer this question but I'd also like to chime in on 
that, if we can expect a new, bug-fix release of 013 in the 
not-distant future?

I'd personally rather have more, smaller releases than 
wait for a long time for The Big Stuff.
And it could help lessen frustration of newcomers with 
Gobo too if it concerns already fixed bugs ;)
