I agree, the Compile tool should be the one to work that out.

Actually I had to checkout 'tools', or at least it gave me some error 
with just 'tools/Freshen-2.0'.  Also I had to copy a default 
Freshen.conf into the place it complained about (that was easy).

Now this is the beginning of output with 2.2.4 and CVS.

Possibly switching back and forth between the two versions caused 
trouble? It is odd that the above list does not include HAL at all; in 
fact, those are not the newest revisions of KDE (unlike in my previous 
posting), and the KDE-Base/3.5.6-r2 has not in fact even been downloaded.
