[gobolinux-users] GnuCash, Evince: outside of GNOME?

I don't run GNOME and don't wish to (in Ubuntu I was happily using 
XFCE), however my preferred accounting software and pdf/postscript 
viewer depend on lots of GNOME libraries.  Does anyone know if it would 
be not so difficult to compile those if it doesn't have to be 
"integrated with GNOME"? (after all, GnuCash runs on OSX and Windows 
even!(in the development branch at least))
