[gobolinux-users] Call for volunteers: would you like to be a recipe committer?

Why not use git? it is by  far the best SCM at the moment, i've used svn for
years, just within a few weeks of using git I started doing things that I
didn't dare to do with subversion.

I'm already using a git repository to control my recipes, one of the biggest
advantages is that git is decentralized, allowing anyone to have their own
repository (locally) and then sharing it with the ones you'd like to share.
Merging is so easy that you can have specific branch for  a set of recipes
to install programs that require special configuration, but that
configuration is not interesting to most users.

I only see advantages in using git over any other SCM, it really speeds
development process.
