Trouble is, most people try to merge things as quickly as possible, to
try to fix some problem, and so make the human error of trying to
merge them more quickly than possible, ending up with more errors.
Then there's the problem that humans are lazy beings and if given a
choice between sitting there playing a dumb terminal picking simple
left-right decisions, and doing nothing, they'll probably do nothing.
What is needed is a system that makes the simple decisions for them
and just leaves them with the interesting ones and - oh look, that's
an auto-merger! ;-)
