[gobolinux-users] Error in Scripts?

It's not necessary to run scripts as superuser, if one set up sudo
appropriately, therefore I had to ask.

Which version of of Shared-Mime-Database do you have installed and what is
the value of ${XDG_DATA_HOME} (do 'echo ${XDG_DATA_HOME}')? What do you get
if you run

update-mime-database $([ ${XDG_DATA_HOME} ] && echo "${XDG_DATA_HOME}/mime" || echo "/System/Variable/mime")

manually? If that fails could you try

update-mime-database /System/Variable/mime
