P.S. is the vesafb-tng patch in Linux recipe important? It's for 2.6.20
and according to http://dev.gentoo.org/~spock/projects/vesafb-tng/ ,
discontinued by the developer(s) in favor of uvesafb (which needs
initramfs/initrd, in order to do the same thing during early booting).
Me (and another person also on Mactel) removed the patch to remove
variables <http://gobo.kundor.org/wiki/Mactel>, and linux 2.6.21 worked
better afterwards (probably after some other random changes too, so who
knows; it could be tested more scientifically...).
