[gobolinux-users] Daily builds

Hi all,
the following is an idea to make life of gobo users and testers easier.
It comes from a my personal need (I can't use cvs) but I think it could be
usefull in general.

I'm thinking to have daily builds of Scripts and Compile packages.

I can immagine the following approach:

- every day, at a scheduled time, a server side script checks if something
has been changed since last build (I don't know exactly how it could be
done but I can guess this isn't too much hard);
- if something has been changed, it simply builds a new version;
- we could use for this development versions the following number conventions
    - odd numbers for the minor release
    - a fourth number for the build

actually the development version of Scripts could be 2.6.3.xxx where xxx
is the build number. Next stable release, off course, should be 2.6.4

Just an idea...
