That's how they do it, yes. They might not have one accessible from
your country though. My remembrance from last time I checked there was
that they had it in the US, Canada, and the UK only.
In fact, I just managed to find the page, and you can do it if you
have an account in the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, Germany, the
Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, or Switzerland.

I really don't think that's accurate. And bank robberies really don't
have any effect on people with money in the bank anyway.
But regardless, it's probable you can't transfer directly out. Most
banks will let you make international transfers to basically anywhere
if you go in to a physical branch and fill out the forms. They
probably charge a bundle for it though.

He meant "credit card company". As in Visa, Mastercard, etc.

Thanks for the information, Carlo, I was meaning to ask about that
myself at some point.

You could try looping wget -c and just leaving it overnight. It should
get down eventually.

I know there are a few in other parts of Europe, maybe one of them
will chime up with an offer. I'm hinting, people.

Many places you can buy pre-paid credit cards (Visa calls them "gift
cards") that you can use anywhere that accepts Visa electronically,
and that can't possibly cost you any more than the money that was on
the card. I can go to the post office and get one for $5 (~€2.50).
That might be worth looking in to.

As Carlo said though, it's really a bit of a moot point in this
particular case. You can try looking for one of the online Linux CD
retailers that has a "download-to-burn" service if you're still not
able to download it yourself.
