Not sure how the bootloader can be affected.  I assume the package
overwrites the /S/K/B/kernel symlink.  Even if you build a custom
kernel, there is still a /P/Linux/2.6.20.  For my macbook I have a
special kernel recipe called Linux-Mactel but I don't think anything
like that has been released to the recipe store.  Did a "R/Provides"
file ever get added to Scripts?
