[gobolinux-users] USB printer and CUPS

Hi all,
    I'm trying to use my usb printer (Samsung ML2010R) 
with CUPS. I already installed SpliX ppd drivers for this 
printer, and posted the Recipe for this as well.

CUPs still does not work correctly: I would really 
appreciate if someone could help me to sourt out this.

Basically my problem is that neither the printer nor a 
generic USB/URL are available in the "Add Printer" menu. 
So I don't know how to configure it.

What I already tried (but I had to stop for lack of time) 
is:
- install hal-cups-utils (an hal backend for cups): it 
does not work as it has some other dependencies on python 
libs I have yet to install.
- add usblp module in the modules list: it does not change 
anything. I think I still have to manually create some 
files in /dev/
