Hi Hisham,
I was using 2.6.22.7 kernel, the one shipped with 014. I upgraded to
kernel 2.6.23.1 with unionfs, squashfs, and acpi patches.
My machine is a Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo A7600 and unfortunately has a very
buggy ACPI BIOS.
BTW I was experiencing another ACPI related problems: Xorg dri module
hanged my machine. Therefore I was unable to start X from the liveCD
unless I specified "irqpoll" in the boot options or I filtered out dri
module loading in xorg.conf.

Regards,
Giambattista
