I don't know what revision of the Xorg 7.3 recipe, but I recently
updated the recipe (it's now at revision 6) and one of the changes was
including a new version of evdev, which was actually required by
xorg-server 1.4 (which is used in Xorg 7.3) but was not released until
recently (the Xorg devs had forgotten to make a tarball release).
Unless you used the Xorg 7.3-r6 recipe, you should try that (if you
want Xorg 7.3 that is).
