okay, alsactl is good. I can just add running `alsactl restore` to 
/etc/BootScripts/BootUp, having run `sudo alsactl store` manually (since 
I don't want arbitrary automatic modification of the default state, I 
avoid that Task!)  And I don't entirely understand aumix but I don't 
think I need it, at least not personally yet because sound is working 
for me!!!
