Maybe the ones who have problems with it can't get past reCaptcha to
contact you and report problems with it?
reCaptcha's the one with the book scans that asks you to cut-and-paste
blocks of text if you're not using a supported browser, isn't it?
Doesn't usually work for me.
There's also the simple fact that most captcha users won't remove them
*even if* they cause problems, so many of us who get locked out by
them (and often insulted by the failure message, telling us we're not
human and so on) don't bother reporting problems with casual-use sites
any more. Most captcha users have some blind(!) faith in their magic
bullets and won't listen to even the W3C advice about them.
Finally, I think that reCaptcha shares many of the weaknesses listed
at http://sam.zoy.org/pwntcha/ so it may be more reliably solvable by
specialised machine programs than humans!
