My i915 works fine in 1280x800 without 915resolution on Xorg 7.2, so
long as xorg.conf has the right settings in it. Deleting the mode
lines actually worked for me, and it was detected correctly
automatically. Give it a try.

I think getting 014 out with the packages it's got is better. Anything
with Xorg 7.3 shouldn't be released until that DBus freezing issue is
sorted out, anyway.
