Yes, "dir" is the file which lists all the info files that have been
installed, so that the "info" command knows where to look up various
commands. Every program which includes an info file will generate a
new "dir" and attempt to install it, so you will have this conflict
all the time.
Probably, there should be some special info-handling in Scripts or
Compile so that the dir actually collects information from various
Programs together.
