It was me that told you about the ucode, though iirc I told you to use Compile,
i.e. "Compile iwlwifi-3945-ucode", as we don't have a package for that yet. I
did point you to the wrong ucode package first, but then I changed it to the
above recipe. Did you try that command?
I don't know if the kernel module is loaded by default, so you might want to
try to manually load it with modprobe. I don't know what the module is called
so try 'modprobe i<tab>' to get a list of available modules starting with 'i'.
It will probably be called something like iwl3945.
