Hi,

On 6/1/07, Viola Zoltán <violazoli@gmail.com> wrote:

My big idea: GoboLinux NetInstall Script!

As I think, all GoboLinux system is define-able with a simple TXT file. This file should write the default language, charset, the programs of /Programs, etc. I think, should write a script, what should run under another Linux system, and we give to this script a parameter: only one txt file. For example:

GoboLinuxNetInstall MySystem.txt

You can do nearly of this with ChrootCompile. I do this with my suse box, download the package and start to compile my "random" gobolinux system. :) To say trust I don' t wait the end of compilation ...

As good perl programmer, my laziness makes me take the /ChrootCompile/1.0.2/Data/PackagesList and put in each line "InstallPackage".
Using rootless gobolinux (pointed to another partition) I run and this make a fully already functional gobo without boot any cd :). I have to configure grub by hand also.
I remember that the last package was the glibc, because the installpackage Glibc requires kernel 2.6.20 and suse comes with 2.6.18, also I instaled "by hand".

ps: Crazy, to think about, if you install cygwin and rootless inside, maybe you can install a gobo with same process from windows.. :P Easy (mm, maybe not so easy, but ...)
